Flying Footless – An Accessible Approach to Coaching

Learn how to confidently invite all people into your classes. This course is for aerial coaches who are working with or want to be working with the disabled/adaptive community. This course covers accessibility and inclusion in general, language, practical applications on aerial silks, slings, trapezes and aerial hoops (we may not have time to cover every apparatus). There will be a lot of information about working with amputees, as well as the disabled community in general. The course is a mix of discussion (theory) and practical applications. We will go over how to make warm ups inclusive, as well as conditioning and flexibility.

You will learn how to safety and confidently spot and work with people with disabilities, as well as all kinds of ideas on how to work with people individually, in classes specifically for the disabled community, as well as inviting people into any class.

There is also a manual (discounted with the course) to go along with the course and a support group.

Parties and Fieldtrips

Parties and fieldtrips are available for all of the disciplines that we offer or a combination of disciplines. These can be tailored to the group size and experience of the participants.

Private Lessons and Open Gym

Private, semi-private and group lessons are available for all disciplines that are offered on our schedule. Private lessons are a great opportunity to get individualized attention for skill development, choreography, act creation and more air time.

This time is run on a drop in basis. Students utilize this time to practice aerial skills taught within classes. The space is also available for the practice of partner acrobatics, handstands, flexibility, juggling, hooping and more. While a teacher is present, this is a time of practice for both the teacher(s) and students utilizing the space.
